Writing A Good Review To Help Others

A good review means your real & honest re-view of anything. How it looks to you? What are the things you feel should be appreciated or should be brought to the notice of the others so they can avoid it. Your review should not consist of basic generic information as that’s already available online for others to see. It should only consist of your views regarding the product or service or brand or place.

So with this post, we will try and highlight few points which if you will keep in mind while writing a review, it will surely be a good review and will not only help a lot of consumers in India but will also help you gain trust as a review author and with more and more brands in India going online nowadays for marketing, your position as a good review author can earn you free product samples, free hotel stays and sometimes some handy extra income for writing honest reviews. So you have got nothing to lose but a lot to gain by writing a good genuine review.

Be Honest In Your Review

This is most important thing. If your review sounds like a promotion or a personal bashing, it won’t gain the trust of the consumers reading it. No matter how sad, angry or happy you are while writing your review, keep it honest and describe what expectations you had and what you got. Do not make it personal. A genuine good or bad review is more appealing to a future consumer so your honest opinion will help them make a better decision.

Write What You Can Prove

Most of the time people write a lot of things in their reviews but do not have enough evidence to prove that what they wrote is truth. So write only the facts and things you can prove later if asked in your review. This way, your review will stand out among other generic reviews as a solid review backed up by facts and evidences.

Keep It Simple & Short

An age long saying is to keep it simple & short. You don’t need a long review to make your point. Rather, keep it short and simple. Make your points right away, do not tell a story. A review is your view about anything so you should just stick to the points you wish to make. People are more willing to read quick reviews rather than long ones. Also especially in India, English is not the first language and hence you should use simple words in your review so that even someone with very little knowledge of English can understand it.

Post Pictures & Videos If You Can

Along with your reviews, pictures can help say it louder so if you have any pictures that can support your review, do post it. And if you have made videos about the thing you are reviewing then post it as well along with your review to make your review look more genuine and stand out from the rest of the crowd.

Highlight The Main Points

Sometimes people are in a hurry but they still search online to read reviews quickly before making their decision so in that case, if you can highlight major points in your review by making those lines BOLD or underlined OR bullet points then that will surely get the attention.

Summarize The End

No matter the length of your reviews, do summarize it at the end so that others know what exactly you decided. So writing even a single line at the end of your review like “Due to the issues I faced with customer service of this brand, I would think twice before using this brand products in future”, will help other consumers make their mind.

So keep the above points in mind for a good review and write a review today on ReviewItIndia.com to help others & also get a chance to win Amazon gift cards with our review reward contests. For any help, do comment below or contact our support team.

Debit Card Blocked? Learn How To Avoid The Scams

So one day, I got a call from someone telling me that my debit card has been blocked even though I just used it few hours back. I just told the person that its OK, I do not want to get it activated and cut off the phone. The way I was tried to be scammed has become a major headache for Indian bank users. Hundreds of cases are reported everywhere in India where someone loses their money over a phone call. One of the methods used by the fraudsters is to call you and tell you that your debit card has been blocked and then get the sensitive data from you in the name of activating it again and ultimately stealing your hard earned money from your bank account. In this article, you will learn how you can avoid this scam.

Identify The Calls

First of all, do not take calls from unknown numbers. Install apps like Truecaller where you will learn instantly who is calling (mostly they are right) so you can decide whether to pick the call or not. Now, if you still manage to take a call from the fraudster, see below.

Bank Will Never Call You Asking For Your Sensitive Information

No staff of bank will ever call you asking for your sensitive information like card pin, CVV, expiry date, number, OTP etc. So when someone calls and ask for this, no matter how genuine that calls seem, disconnect the call immediately and block the number.

Your Card Is Blocked For Real

If you get to know while using your card or by an SMS from bank that you card has been really blocked, do not panic. Simply call the bank customer care directly and let them know that your card has been blocked. They will either unblock it for you or if it was blocked as a precaution for your account, will send you a brand new debit card free of cost to either your registered communication address or any bank branch across the India.

So never share any sensitive details on call. Whenever in doubt about the genuineness of any call, simply disconnect the call and call the bank customer care line directly. They will let you know about whether your card has actually been blocked or not. Do not fall for this scam anymore. Share this article with as many people as you can so that Indians can eliminate this form of fraud.

Write bank reviews, app reviews or reviews about anything on ReviewItIndia.com to help your fellow Indians. Also get a chance to make money for life and win Amazon gift cards in review reward contests. Visit www.reviewitindia.com to start today.

Uber OR OLA Driver Refused To Come? To Be Fined Rs.25000!

If you have ever used the app based cab services in India like Uber or OLA, you must have experienced the flexibility and ease of requesting a ride when ready and a car comes at your doorstep to pick you up. Now many of its users also rely on it for time critical drops, that is, drop to a railway station, airport, doctor appointment, meeting, etc.

And for such time critical rides, you book Uber and Ola beforehand or even if not, when you request a ride at odd hours and then an assigned driver refuses to come, it causes a lot of issues. You can miss your meeting or flight causing you delay in your work or visit and also monetary  loss. So for in such cases up until now, Uber and Ola refused to acknowledge their involvement in cases like this and offered just apology if anything.

Now that is going to become a past soon. Delhi government (and hopefully all states government later on) are planning to fine Rs.25,000 every time a driver of their app based service refuses to come! As per a report in Times of India (source below), the cab aggregators will have to take responsibility of actions of their driver partners.

Its a welcome move and we hope this step will help Indian consumers of these app based cab services ride hassle free.

Have you ever faced any issues with Uber and Ola OR had a great ride? Share your experience to help fellow Indians and help us build a strong consumer in India. Post a review on ReviewItIndia.com now and make money for life with your reviews plus win prizes with our review reward contests.

There are people who will SMS you for jackpots saying they’re from a far away country and as you have won millions in a lottery you will need to pay the cross border fees to get that but in actual they might be from your neighbourhood only and they’re only interested to get money from you.

1. Confirm if its actually a scam by searching it online. If its a scam, someone would have definitely posted about it. And if its a scam and its not on the Internet, be sure to post it on scam report websites so that other people become aware and can avoid that scam.

2. Immediately upon realzing its a scam, stop all communications with the fraudster and report it to appropriate authority if needed.

Tips For Safe & Best Online Shopping Experience

With more and more people getting access to Internet, its no surprise that online sales are on an all time high. There are literally thousands of sites selling almost everything you need online and while its a great thing to order from home and getting delivered your products at home, it has its negatives as well.

Mostly consumers fall for cheap prices and thereafter they get duplicate or damaged products and that too after waiting for over a month and sometimes 2 months. Another drawback of online shopping is that you do no get to see the product until its delivered to you which makes it even more important to know from where you are shopping and what experience other consumers have from that shopping site because otherwise you have no idea whatsoever about the kind of experience you will get shopping with that site. And then, how safe is your financial details when you do online shopping? This is one question which every consumer have when they decide to buy something online.

The below tips will help you get the best products online without falling for any scams or frauds.

1. Always buy from trusted sites. By trusted it does not mean you have to know who the owner of the company and where they are located etc. By trusted here we mean you need to search for other people experiences of using the site. If its mostly good (there are negative reviews of almost everything out there) then it should be good for you too.

2. If you are unsure about the quality of product you are buying from a site then select cash on delivery option for the first time. Once you have purchase once or couple of times from that site and have received good products, you can pay them online from next time.

3. If the site you are buying from offer to use WALLET PAYMENT services, be sure to use that because in case of any disputes, you will be able to get your money back from these WALLET companies rather than arguing with the site customer service.

4. Never ever fall for TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE sites. If a site is offering a product at a cost which seems TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE then 99% of times it will come up with its own disadvantages. Either you will get cheap quality products with no value for money or delayed/damaged delivery of products and sometimes, the order would be cancelled after a month. So its better to do your due dilegence before ordering anything online if you feel its too good to be true.

5. Always check for return policy of a site and product you are ordering. Many a times, you will get a good deal however, it won’t be refundable in any case which means if you get a product which is say all good but still not as per your expecations (like size or something else), you would have no option to return or replace it. So its better to pay a bit more where you get an option for hassle free returns and replacements.

6. Make safe online payments. Always see if a site is offering a GREEN ADDRESS bar when you are about to pay for a product. This means the site is using SSL certificate which will safegaurd your information by encrypting for transmission. If you use credit cards or debit cards, be sure to check you are entering OTP or 3D Secure Passwords on an URL (webpage) by VISA or MasterCard or your bank. And if you’re paying with NET BANKING, make sure to check the domain name before you enter your NET BANKING log in credentials to make sure its actually your bank website where you are logging in and not somewhere else. And if there is any doubt whatsoever, select cash on delivery.

Following above points, you can have safe and happy shopping experience. To make it happier, be sure to review it on ReviewItIndia.com where you can review almost everything you do or use to help others and make money for life with your reviews plus win prizes with our review reward contests.

Fake Reviews: Bad For Both Consumers & Brands

In this Internet age, people tend to search online for reviews of products or services they are about to purchase or use in order to gain an insight of what the experience as a consumer would be. And while generally, consumers tend to post reviews only if things go bad, the bad reviews can be fake posted by a competitor business or a person who did not use the product or service at all. And then good reviews can also be fake to keep the online image of a brand clean.

Both good and bad fake reviews are harmful for both consumers and brands. For consumers, these fake reviews provide false sense of product and customer service of brand being good or bad and for brands, the bad fake reviews hurt the chance to get a new buyer/consumer. So as a consumer, while its your right to get a good product or service, its also your duty that:

  1. You should write reviews of everything for helping others.
  2. You should never write fake reviews.
  3. You should not write reviews for exchange of any incentive.
  4. You should report any fake review you come across.
  5. Encourage your friends and family to write only genuine reviews.

When a consumer write genuine reviews, it helps making consumer strong overall. At ReviewItIndia.com, we acknowledge the genuine reviewers by rewarding them with various review reward contests.
