Even if you haven’t submitted your email or phone number on any app or website, chances are still high that you may get a job offer letter that looks genuine and interesting to you. If you have received one such job letter which seems too good to be true then it is most likely a fake offer letter<\/strong>. But how can you be sure about it? Check content of the letter closely<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of the times scammer will make grammar mistakes or punctuation mistakes. Official offer letters are proof read a multiple times before being sent out so if you find such mistakes in an offer letter, it is fake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Demand of money for appointment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the letter demands money before you can be appointed then it is a red flag too. No company demands money via offer letters for appointments so do not pay any money based on offer letter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check the email address<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you received it by email, most of the times, these kind of letters will be automatically filtered out by your email provider and moved to your spam folder but if that is not the case or if you believe an email in spam folder with an offer letter to be true, check the email address carefully. It will likely be from @domain name which will be different from the official domain name of the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If above ways are not enough to conclude that an offer letter you received is fake or not then simply verify it directly with the company. Most of the companies nowadays have a website and an email address, directly send an email to that address with the offer letter and they will confirm. Also if the company is on social media and has a verified handle there, you can check with them about the offer letter on that social media platform too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
