A five star resort among exotic hills sounds so luxurious and JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa aims to provide you just that – an authentic luxury stay in an exotic location surrounded by mountains with good service. While the location is indeed beautiful, the service is lacking and at best you can call it an average luxury stay.
Highlights Of Our Stay (When It Started & Then Later When We Revisited)
- Smooth booking experience both times
- On time pick up from Dehradun airport both times
- Great welcome initially and average welcome during revisit
- Great check in experience first time and average during revisit
- Good guest rooms with great balcony views both times
- Courteous and helpful house keeping staff both times
- Great food both times
- Private dining during second visit was not private with people passing us all the time around us
- Private breakfast in the garden after private dining earlier was good with staff managing it better
- During checkout, no one came for luggage despite calling multiple times and as we were getting late for our flight we had to drag our own luggage to their car for airport drop
- They did call after second visit to apologize and asked us to give another chance but considering the amount you spend on a luxury vacation, there are better choices now in Mussoorie.
Best Time To Visit
Mussoorie can be visited throughout the year but if you can, visit it during rainy season (July-Sep) for breathtaking and surreal experience of being among the clouds!
